I recently discovered Andrew Johnson, (known as @aj217_hertz on instagram) while checking out some wire harnesses. Andrew is working on customizing the audio system in his revamped 96’ Honda Accord and is using Sky High Car Audio systems (@skyhighcaraudio). His personalized wire harness caught my eye, and I’m sure it would catch yours!

He added some unique protection and style to his Accord by covering his audio cables in Techflex® Flexo® PET. He appropriately chose to go with the color ‘Ogre’ to provide some neon green pop under the hood. He also used some Custom Printed Heatshrink to provide a clean and sharp looking sleeving termination in multiple locations.

He also changed up his colors by accenting with some Techflex® Flexo® PET sleeving in Checkered Flag.He couldn’t have chosen a more perfect pairing of sleek and sharp colors for his audio system. Andrew shouldn’t hesitate to pop open the hood and show off his custom wire harness.

Not only is it sleek and visually appealing, Andrew has an awesome audio system in the works! He’s got 6 1/0 gauge wires connected to a North Star battery being powered by a 270 amp Mechman alternator running into the trunk of the car. He has another north star battery in the trunk to power a 7000 watt banda audio amplifier for a 4th order bandpass wall that will hold 2 ficaraudio sp4 15in sub woofers. Andrew chose to use this application because he believes; “Techflex® (Flexo PET) makes the wires really pop while also giving it even more protection to the element.”

Andrew has a really impressive assembly and his connections and wire bundles under the hood of the 96’ Honda Accord are both professional and sharp!
